大井川の舟着き場の近くに建っていた八幡神社は終戦の年に集落の背後に移築された。深夜、集落のすべての明かりが消えた中を御神体が運ばれていった。本殿跡の地中に遺物・遺跡が無いことを確認して、制作が始まった。

Hachiman Shrine, which stood near the boat dock on the Oi River, was relocated to the rear of the village in the year the war ended. The sacred object was carried out late at night, with all the lights in the village turned off. After confirming that there were no relics or remains underground at the site of the main shrine, our work began.​​​​
